Task2 - Lifestyle >> Life is Change

"Life is Change"

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always a good thing. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is true that everything changes and nothing stays the same. It is also true that some people embrace change while others find it quite traumatic. Those that have difficulty with change will often do anything to escape any variations to their lifestyles. In my opinion, change is inevitable, and should be accepted as an inescapable fact of life.

We all change from the moment we are born: our bodies change, our minds change, we live and we learn. At the same time, the world around us is constantly changing. For example, our physical environment varies with the seasons while our relationships with family and friends are continuously changing. This is the reality of the world we live in.

However, some people find a world that is perpetually changing to be highly problematic. These individuals seek to evade change. They are content with their routine lifestyles. They eat the same food, do the same jobs and watch the same television programs. They maintain a limited number of relationships that change very little throughout their lifetimes.

It is my strong belief that perpetual change is a fact of life. Therefore, it should be welcomed as an important part of the human experience. To avoid change is really an avoidance of life itself. While it is true that changes can be uncomfortable and create anxiety for some people, it is also true that change can give our lives variety and excitement.

Comment from ITP

Focus on the synonyomous language for the word "ongoing": constantly, continuously, perpetually, perpetual.
