"Dependence on Computers/Thao, Phu, Thanh, Lam & Trinh/ Tom"

Topic

We are becoming increasingly dependent on computer technology. It is used in business, crime detection and even to fly planes. What will it be used for in the future? Is this dependence on technology a good thing or should we be suspicious of its benefits?

We are living in the era of technological breakthroughs and this has led a bitter controversy about how computerization affects our lives. Computers have brought various benefits to our lives and made them better. In all likelihood, computers can even be used in agriculture, education and many critical domains in the future. However, the reliance on computers could lead to adverse effects which we should be suspicious of.

To begin with, computers are an integral part of our modern lives. With the assistance of artificial intelligence, more scientific achievements have been garnered and enormous, time -consuming jobs have been completed at a swift pace. This can be seen by the fact that production lines which involve loads of repeated activities, waste a lot of time , however, thanks to computerized processes, it takes us a shorter amount of time than using manual labor. Also, computers are an eligible storehouse for keeping precious information archived. For example, computers give features to edit, read and search documents.

On the other hand, it is necessary to contemplate the downsides of computers. These gadgets always follow strictly predefined processes to carry out tasks. Hence, computers are not able to solve unusual problems in an emergency. For instance, although Dubai airport is one of the most state-of-the-art airports in the world, the computerized machines can not take over control from humans because it must be done with more accuracy. In other words, computers are created by humans and give support to humans, so we must use them properly.

All in all, the positive aspects of computers outweigh the negative aspects, however, we should be more suspicious of the benefits and avoid the dominance of computers in many fields which threaten human beings' livelihoods.

An excellent argumentative essay. Some very useful language here: "and this has led a bitter controversy about how ............ affects our lives" "..........have brought various benefits to our lives and made them better." "However, the reliance on ........ could lead to adverse effects which we should be suspicious of." "All in all, the positive aspects of ......... outweigh the negative aspects, however, we should be more suspicious of the benefits and avoid the ..............."
